Basquiat: Radiant King
Marin: No Cheech, all Leon
I bumped into this cat, on a chance street encounter, and just by his energy I could tell something was up. So I get to choppin it up and come to find out he makes music (I hate when cats say they make music)
...BUT, he's wicked down to earth, no hype, I can tell its just him being him...after a little Googling and a little YouTubing, I have to say, this kid is not only nice....
HE'S HIP-HOP, and thats the best compliment I could EVER give anyone. Hip-Hop is a culture, not a style of music, not rap, not rhyming.
Make sure you catch his rhyme at the end, its quality.
...and if you don't know, now ya know (^!&&@)

Do you love h.e.r.? Depends....
Michael Rappaport (Yes, that Michael Rappaport) brings us the documentary that every hip-hop head has long awaited. If the name Bonita Applebum doesn't ring a bell then you're definitely a "Sucka N*$$@" and you need to check the discography.
Once you do that, check the trailer below and we can debate the significance of a group that changed the song structure of hip-hop. Rap heads stay home, this is a culture thing: Beats, Rhymes, and Fights

Redu!
Some people design, others educate; few do both. Last night Reed Space held a Q+A event with the internet's very own Levi Maestro. And although Levi does not restrict himself simply to the internet, his success there cannot be overlooked. While internet success can be duplicated, real street cred can never be imitated.
The Maestro was in town this evening to inspire a group of middle school and high school students to look outside the box and follow their passions, because as jeff said "I can work 20 hour days because my work is not a job"
If more people preached these values, many more might practice their own self worth.
